Metric DIN 127 Helical Spring Split Lock Washers are commonly used metric lock washers - It is a
split metal ring that is bent into a helical shape. Split Lock Washers are a left hand helix and allow
the nut to be tightened in a right hand direction only. When compressed by tightening the nut, the
washer bites into the substrate and exerts a spring force between the bolt and the substrate
creating frictional resistance to rotation.
DIN 127 are available in two forms, type A and type B.
Type DIN 127 A have bent up tang at both ends of the washer.
Type B simply have square/straight ends.
DIN127B Spring Lock M2 To M100 Large Stainless Steel Washers
As you tighten a bolt, these metric washers flatten to add tension to the threaded joint and prevent
loosening from small amounts of vibration. All of these washers meet a DIN or ASME standard
for split lock washer dimensions.
Standard split lock washers have a left-hand helix, which means you can only use them with bolts that
have right-hand threads to prevent clockwise rotation from vibration. When tightened, their uneven
split ends bite into unhardened nuts and bolts for a tighter hold than curved or wave washers,
but only for applications with clockwise rotation. The washers, nuts, and bolts will be deformed
when untightened, so none of them can be reused. Do not use these washers on hardened surfaces.
Stainless steel washers are more corrosion resistant than steel, and nearly as strong. 18-8 stainless
steel washers are good for humid, damp, and washdown environments, but will corrode when exposed
to salt water and other chlorine solutions. 316 stainless steel washers have the best corrosion resistance.
They stand up to wet environments, just like 18-8 stainless steel washers, but unlike 18-8 stainless steel,
they resist corrosion caused by salt water, chlorine solutions, and chemicals.
Use zinc-plated and yellow zinc-plated steel washers in mostly dry environments. The zinc plating offers
temporary rust protection, but once it wears away the steel will rust. All of these washers are stronger
and more wear resistant than stainless steel.
Steel washers are stronger and more wear resistant than zinc-plated steel and stainless steel. Use them
in dry environments because they will rust in wet and corrosive environments.

The company mainly produces high-strength fasteners, with bolts and nuts as its core products. The main standards include DIN, ANSI/ASME, JIS, UNI, ISO, AS, BS, GB, and others. Our products are widely used in bridges, roads, petroleum pipeline facilities, wind power generation, and steel structure projects. Carbon steel bolts are available in grades 4.8, 5.8, 6.8, 8.8, 10.9, and 12.9; Nuts in grades 4, 6, 8, and 10. Stainless steel fasteners are mainly made of 201, 304, and 316. Since its establishment, QBH has undergone over ten years of development. We are equipped with comprehensive testing equipment and maintain good cooperation with SGS and TUV. - Our packing is 20-25kg for one carton,36 or 48pcs cartons for one pallet. One pallets is about 900-960kg, We also can make customer's logo on the cartons. Or we customized cartons according to customers' requirement.
